DailyCrush Return
(going to be re-posting this entry every day for one week so hopefully everyone interested will get a chance to see it - forgive the repetitiveness! Thank you! :) )
Dear DailyCrushers,
HELLO! :)
Upon returning to LiveJournal after (as you know) a veeeeeery long absence, I was heartwarmed to find so many of you still here!
I'm not sure how many of you are still paying attention to this (not that I blame you) - or how many of you have moved on to other social networking venues - but I wanted to let you all know that I have revived DailyCrush over on Twitter (www.twitter.com), and I would like to sincerely invite all of you to "Follow" the new DailyCrush if you so choose!
Thank you again for all of your participation, support, and fun comments over the years - I hope you'll enjoy this new version of DailyCrush, too!
(This one might still revive as well, someday... it's just that Twitter is more time-manageable for now...)
Cheers!
xo

It's the nifty NOD bedside table (which can also function as a wall-mounted light) - complete with sleek spaces for your cell phone/TV remote, glasses, and a book. Perfect! I want one. :) But argh, why does it have to be over $200?
Get NOD!

Check out the photo section. I mean, really - how can you resist? :)

So perhaps you're at work right now reading this... looking to waste a little time online... but be forewarned - I thought I'd just check it out and play a round or two, and before I knew it, 20 minutes had gone by!

It's TypeRacer! The new, sneakily-fun way to improve your typing skills.
How fast can you type?

Truly good, catchy, creative commercials are few and far between - so when I find one, I like to share it with the DailyCrush crew! :) This one's for the Discovery Channel - it's a remake, I believe, of a summer camp song, retooled for Discovery shows and to make room for the likes of Mike Rowe, the Mythbusters, and Stephen Hawking, among others. As the tribesman says: Boom-dee-YAAAAAA-DAHHHHHH indeed!

These keyboards are a little more girly than the usual tech stuff, but there's a nifty gold one, too, for you King Midas-type men. :) There are five different models so far, and in case you're wondering why they're so pricey, it's because they're hand-decorated!

Beanbags in the meeting rooms, a metal slide downstairs into the groovy lunchroom, inflatable chairs, taxis and ski lifts and fishing campers as work pods, fake snow, an aquarium "think" room, games everywhere... all at Google's Swiss offices.
I kid you not. Go look, go look now. If I still worked in an office, I'd be pestering my bosses to start doing stuff like this ASAP!
(Do you like my use of official office-y terminology there? ;) )
Google's offices rock!
