There's plenty of looking at the dark side of things these days. We're subjected to negativity on the news, on TV, on the radio, from our coworkers, from random angry people on the street, in our mailboxes (and emailboxes!) - and I don't know about you, but I, for one, could use a break from it all.

Therefore, Daily Crush is about finding something lovely, great, super, random, wonderful, amazing, fun, groovy, funny, interesting, brilliant, fascinating, cool, quirky, smart, silly, artistic, goofy, pretty, or heartwarming in every day. Or at least as many days as I can manage to update. *grin*

We want to keep a positive spin on things, too - so if anybody decides to be negative, you might just find yourself no longer invited into the DailyCrush clubhouse (don't worry, there are plenty of other places online you can go n' complain :) )

And don't worry - I'm not a pollyanna. This isn't the LJ equivalent of a cotton-candy-pink oversized sweatshirt with puppies and little flowers on it (er...no offense, of course, to those of you currently wearing one of those). So I'm sure my sarcastic side will occasionally break through (sarcasm in the kindest of ways, of course - hee!) It's just that sometimes, you have to make a little bit of your own happiness.

Well, people keep asking about me, so here goes:

I'm a female musician/writer/actress/artist. I'm living in the U.S. at the moment, but I also lived in Europe for a while when I was in school. I loooove to travel, and am a big geek. :)

I also really like modern rock music (especially Britpop), astronomy, writing, drawing, playing guitar and piano, films, Trigger Happy TV, dark chocolate, all kinds of tea except mint, skiing, being near oceans/lakes, fruit, the Discovery Channels, videogames (PS2, Wii, Gamecube, and Nintendo DS!), computer and sim games, coffeehouses, snail mail, adventures, languages, late nights, sci-fi, reading/books, cooking, Pilates, rain, summer, Egyptology, my cat, museums, making cool stuff, candles, board games, sour candy, photography (especially black and white), MST3K, collecting stickers (mostly for my guitar case), my family, and, of course, my boyfriend.

I dislike stupid people, spiders, crude jokes, and being cold.
